Travel the Bert Kreischer Way
The comedian shares six of his favorite Florida spots, from taking mushrooms and floating down a spring-fed river to navigating multicultural Miami.

Redneck Riviera
“The Panhandle, in my opinion, has the most beautiful beaches, and if you miss out on those beaches, you’re not getting the absolute gorgeousness that the Gulf Coast has to deliver.”
Ichetucknee Springs State Park
“Take mushrooms and float down the Ichetucknee. This is such a beautiful river. You have to get inner tubes, a case of beer and float down it with your friends.”
Weeki Wachee Springs
“All up Highway 41, there are old-school Tampa attractions that define the state’s legacy of tourism. Weeki Wachee is the jewel in that crown. Swim with manatees. Watch mermaids and visit an old-school Florida attraction.”
Key West
“The Keys is a legit sportsman’s paradise. And you can drink in the same place that Ernest Hemingway drank, grab some Kino flip-flops, buy a cigar, get a scooter and go on a sunset cruise.”
Florida’s East Coast
“The East Coast is so drastically different from the West Coast. Jacksonville, Daytona, New Smyrna, Cocoa Beach: You can walk out in waist-deep water about 100 yards off the beach and drive your car on the sand. Get up at sunrise and go for a jog!”
Miami
“This technically is not Florida in my opinion. It’s totally a European, Caribbean, South American destination like no other. Miami moves so much faster than the rest of Florida that it is like a vacation from the state. I’m never comfortable there, but I’m always happy.”
