The holidays have a way of filling up fast: presents to buy, gatherings to organize and those once-a-year momentous meals to cook. This year, leave the holiday stress at home and escape to Northeast Florida for a fully planned, luxurious getaway at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. Here, luxury isn’t about excess—it’s about letting the experts fuss over the details, so you can spend more time celebrating the spirited season with loved ones.

The historic oceanfront resort and golf club, just east of Jacksonville, with its quiet elegance, elevated dining options and amenities so expansive you won’t need (or want) to leave the property, comes with a built-in itinerary.

Beginning in November, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club offers an irresistible beachfront setting to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. It’s a different way to experience the holidays; all you need to do is make the memories.

Thanksgiving Meals Minus the Cooking

Before the tryptophan-induced nap takes over, spend the morning earning your dessert at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club’s annual Turkey Trot. The resort’s sprawling golf-course grounds make a compelling case for exploring on foot—even for the most committed anti-trot sticklers.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, skip the hours spent pouring over recipes in the kitchen and leave it to the professionals. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club offers two dining options for Thanksgiving designed to allow families more time for what matters most: gathering around the table together.

At The Historic Inn, a grand Thanksgiving buffet brings out all the classic fare, along with chef-attended culinary stations showcasing fall flavors, all set against the backdrop of the Inn Dining Room. Help yourself to seconds and thirds, and save room for a side of nostalgia shared with family and friends.

For a more intimate dining experience, reserve a table for the prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner at the Golf Club Dining Room. Overlooking the iconic par-three Island 9th hole and Ponte Vedra lagoon, the mahogany-walled dining room opens up to a picturesque backdrop for a curated holiday dinner.

Christmas Merrymaking All Month Long

If one night isn’t enough to settle into the holiday spirit, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club gives you plenty of reasons to stay a while. Festivities begin on Dec. 4, when the resort’s pastry team unveils an elaborate gingerbread house to guests, complete with hot chocolate, letter-writing to Santa and holiday cookies. After the big reveal, head over to the Croquet Lawn to watch a holiday movie under the Florida winter sky.

While the classic Christmas traditions are still alive and well at the Inn, a fresh take on holiday tunes just might become a new family ritual. At the Holiday Silent Disco on Dec. 18, choose your vibe for the night. Slip on a pair of wireless headphones, select one of the spirited playlists and bop to your own soundtrack.

“We take tremendous pride in curating unique experiences for our guests and members at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, especially when we can tie in some holiday fun,” says Michael Gordon, general manager of Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and president of Gate Hospitality Group. “It is a beautiful time of year to visit North Florida, especially for those looking for an escape from winter weather while still seeking a place to celebrate the winter holidays in style.”

In Northeast Florida, Santa stops by a few days early. From Dec. 19–20, catch Mr. and Mrs. Claus at spots throughout the Inn. Casual breakfast invites younger guests to tell Santa what they hope to see under the tree and for parents to capture the moment. Spend the day enjoying Ponte Vedra’s pristine beaches before joining Santa for a hayride, holiday light peeping and singing carols in the evening.

Christmas calls for gathering around a memorable meal. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, families can choose between the grand buffet at The Historic Inn, offering a sprawling assortment of traditional dishes and festive favorites, or a more intimate prix fixe dinner at the Golf Club Dining Room.

New Year, Same Quality

On the final day of the year, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club has an itinerary planned that is sure to leave 2026 on a high note. Begin the party with a fete fit for guests with earlier bedtimes. The Kids Noon Year’s Celebration offers families a way to mark the occasion together without waiting until midnight. A kids’ buffet, DJ and sparkling apple cider toasts allow the little ones to join in on the fun, all before dusk.

Once the kids are tucked in, indulge with a refined dinner at The Historic Inn Dining Room before the party starts. New Year’s Eve at the resort culminates with the adults-only Starlight Soirée, complete with live music by Who Rescued Who, late-night food stations and a champagne toast to ring in 2027.

“Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is truly a remarkable place to be during this time of the year,” Gordon says. “Our team is proud to help families make memories with their loved ones, ring in the new year or celebrate new beginnings.”

The holiday season at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is all about giving the gift of time spent together: a morning run before Thanksgiving dinner, a gingerbread house taller than the kids, Santa arriving by hayride or a New Year’s Champagne toast by the sea. This season, let the professionals handle the details, while you make all the memories. Book a stay this winter by visiting Pontevedra.com.
